Elia Merzari at U.S. Frontiers Symposium
Principal Nuclear Engineer Elia Merzari (NE) has been invited to participate in the National Academy of Engineering’s 2015 U.S. Frontiers of Engineering Symposium to be held in Irvine, California, September 9-11, 2015.
About 100 outstanding engineers under the age of 45 were selected to meet for an intensive 2-1/2 day symposium to discuss cutting-edge developments in four areas:
- Forecasting Natural Disasters
- Optical and Mechanical Materials
- Engineering the Search for Earth-like Exoplanets.
The goal of the Frontiers of Engineering program is to bring together engineers from all engineering disciplines and from industry, universities, and federal labs to facilitate cross-disciplinary exchange and promote the transfer of new techniques and approaches across fields in order to sustain and build U.S. innovative capacity.
