Erdemir honored for career
Argonne Distinguished Fellow Ali Erdemir recently received the prestigious Mayo D. Hersey Award for his life’s research in reducing friction between moving parts.
Erdemir’s tribology research group develops lubricants, materials, and coatings, all of which are used in concert to reduce friction and thereby maximize efficiency.
The efficiency and environmental aspects of this research are central to both the Argonne and Department of Energy’s missions.
