Purpose of Argonne Java Users Group
The purpose of the Argonne Java Users Group (JUG) is to promote collaboration among software developers across the laboratory that write in Java or any of the Java-related computer languages and to network as professionals and with other JUGs in the Java community.
Java is a general-purpose computer programming language that is concurrent, class-based, object-oriented and specifically designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. More than three billion devices world-wide run Java code, from ATMs to the Mars Curiosity Rover.
