Computer Eyewear Information
Computer glasses are available for all types of lenses including single vision, bifocals and progressive lenses depending on the wearers need. Employees can meet with a trained optometrist who can help determine and recommend computer glasses best suited to your needs. Please note that the optometrist does not perform eye exams.
The optometrist will review your current prescription and discuss your workstation arrangement so a recommendation can be made. Computer glasses similar to industrial safety glasses are provided to employees with the only out-of-pocket costs being if you choose optional frame upgrades.
Employees should also consider having a professional ergonomic evaluation performed. The evaluation will examine your work area and offer guidance on how to set up your work area in an ergonomically correct manner (a nominal chargeback may be required).
