WIST First Friday Forum: Book discussion on ‘What Works for Women at Work’
The Women in Science and Technology (WIST) Program will host a First Friday Forum Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at noon in the Bldg. 213 Cafeteria Private Dining Room.
This month’s First Friday Forum will feature a book discussion on What Works for Women at Work by Joan Williams. Argonne hosted a Director’s Special Seminar featuring Joan Williams in June, titled “Achieving Diversity and Inclusion: An Evidence-based Approach.” Since that time, WIST members have been reading her book, What Works for Women at Work. For Friday’s discussion, we will talk through Chapter 14: The Science of Savvy in 20 Lessons, and we will distribute copies of Williams’ Bias Interrupters Worksheet. Whether you’ve read the book or not, all are welcome for this forum.
