2016 United Way of Metropolitan Chicago education summit
The United Way of Metropolitan Chicago presents its education summit Thursday, Nov., 3, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UIC Forum, 725 Roosevelt Road, Chicago.
Community, non-profit, school, philanthropic and corporate leaders from across the region will convene for a one-day conference highlighting innovative efforts in K-12 education. The keynote speaker is Arne Duncan, managing partner at the Emerson Collective and former U.S. Secretary of Education.
The United Way is one of the charitable agencies supported by the Argonne Combined Appeal. United Way attempts to provide solutions to the area’s most critical social issues. In the past fiscal year, United Way in metropolitan Chicago invested $43.2 million into 412 local agencies.
