“What do you like about Argonne?” featuring Mary Malik (ESQ)
“I like the fact that I have been able to continually improve my skills as I learn on the job. I started at Argonne as a janitor, moved up to group leader and blue slipped to foreman and animal care specialist. I then became a health physics technician, and now I work within the ESQ Workplace Exposure Monitoring group primarily conducting instrumentation maintenance and field sampling. I have had opportunities for career growth and have taken on quality assurance responsibilities within my group. I feel blessed and grateful for the opportunities I’ve had throughout my 24-year career here at Argonne.”
