Muehleisen elected to IBPSA Board of Directors
Ralph T. Muehleisen (ES) was elected to the Board of Directors of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA)–USA for a two-year term starting in February 2017. The mission of IBPSA-USA is to advance and promote the science of building simulation in order to improve the design, construction, operation and maintenance of new and existing buildings in the United States. At IBPSA, Muehleisen is also the Chair of the Urban Scale Simulation Research committee and an active member of the editorial committee. He was a founding member of the Chicago Chapter of IBPSA (ChIPBSA) and served as vice chair from 2013 to 2016. He now is the chapter liaison to IBPSA-USA.
At Argonne, Muehleisen is the Building Energy Decision and Technology Research group leader within the Center for Energy, Environmental, and Economic Systems analysis in the Energy Systems Division and also leading a cross-lab effort to grow Argonne’s Urban Science and Engineering programs.
