WIST First Friday Forum: ‘Mentoring Circles – A Discussion’
The Women in Science and Technology (WIST) Program will host a First Friday Forum Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at noon in Bldg. 202, Room B169.
This month’s First Friday Forum features Postdoctoral Program Lead Tina Henne (ALI) and Senior Manager Pam Gruszka (HRS), who will present “Mentoring Circles – A Discussion.”
Mentoring Circles are a form of group or peer mentoring that present an opportunity for individuals at different career stages or working in different technical areas to help each other succeed. Topics discussed may be more or less serious — such as strategic negotiation skills, work-life integration and grant writing — all serving to support a rich, vibrant professional life. Presenters Pam Gruszka, a mentoring circle leader with 15 years of experience, and Tina Henne, a trained mediator who has developed the postdoctoral mentoring program, will provide an interactive presentation on Mentoring Circles. Information gathered during the discussion will help shape and guide the Mentoring Circles we are about to launch and everyone will have the opportunity to sign up to be a part of it.
This WIST-sponsored workshop is open to all Argonne employees; everyone whose schedule permits is encouraged to participate.
