Final weeks for the 2017 Incentivized Wellness Program
This year’s Incentivized Wellness Program (IWP) ends Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, (see below for the health screening deadline) but there’s still time to participate and earn “wellness credits,” which are financial incentives applied toward your 2018 monthly medical insurance premium.
Ways to earn Virgin Pulse points:
- Health Screening: Schedule your screening with your physician or with the Health and Employee Wellness (HEW) clinic. Last minute walk-in screenings will be available in HEW on Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 28, from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fasting is recommended but not required. Completed forms must be submitted to HEW by noon on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017. Completion of the health screening earns 20,000 points, lowering next year’s health insurance premiums by $150.
- 4Life lecture: Attend or view online the “Fit and Focused: Attention and Mindfulness in a Distracted World,” lecture. The lecture must be completed by Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017. The last scheduled lecture is Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at 4 p.m. in Building 200 Auditorium. Add to your calendar
Completion of the lecture earns 20,000 points, lowering next year’s health insurance premiums by $150.
- Health risk assessment questionnaire: Complete online through the Virgin Pulse program. Must be completed by Sept. 30, 2017. Completion of the health risk assessment earns 20,000 points, lowering next year’s health insurance premiums by $150.
- Virgin Pulse Tracking: Last day to accumulate points is Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017. And remember to sync your steps!
If you are enrolled in Virgin Pulse and have earned the full 80,000 points, do not delete your account. Virgin Pulse will report employees’ credit status to Payroll on Oct. 2, 2017, and employees must remain in the system to be in that reporting.
