Mandatory training: Protecting classified and controlled unclassified information
All Argonne employees will be required to watch a one-hour training video on the importance of protecting classified and controlled unclassified information by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017.
The mandatory training comes at the request of U.S. National Security Advisor Lt. General H.R. McMaster and affects all federal government departments and agencies, including the national laboratories. At the direction of Energy Secretary Rick Perry, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Environment, Health, Safety and Security created a training video bringing together senior leaders from across DOE, and includes a message from Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.
All Argonne employees must complete this training by viewing the video no later than Friday, Oct. 6. You may access the video via the Training Management System. Those who prefer may attend a showing of the video in the Building 402 Auditorium at one of the following times:
- 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017
Add to Your Calendar
- 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017
If you attend in person, your badge will be scanned to confirm that you’ve had the training. Employees who watch the video online will prompted at the end to confirm that they’ve viewed it.
