Info session: Developing a strong ARPA-E proposal
Argonne’s Technology Commercialization and Partnerships Division invites Argonne researchers to a presentation by Ralph Muehleisen — Engineering Systems Modeling-Simulation-Analysis Leader within the Energy Systems Division — that will describe a process for developing strong proposals in response to ARPA-E’s 2018 Open Funding Opportunity Announcement.
ARPA-E recently announced up to $100 million in funding for new projects involving technologies that have the potential to transform the nation’s energy system. With concept papers due on Feb. 12, 2018, and the selection process expected to be intensely competitive, this presentation will be useful to researchers looking for insights as they develop their teams and write their ARPA-E proposals.
There will be two opportunities to see the presentation — once on Thursday, Jan. 18, and again on Thursday, Jan. 25. On both occasions, the presentation will be begin at noon in Building 201, Room 275. Each session will include a Q&A. Advance registration is requested.
Muehleisen has helped write a proposal that resulted in an ARPA-E award and has also reviewed ARPA-E proposals.
