Call for volunteers — Science Careers in Search of Women Conference student luncheon
The Science Careers in Search of Women (SCSW) Conference at Argonne on Thursday, April 19, 2018, provides female high school students with an extraordinary opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers through a variety of interactions with Argonne’s world-class researchers and mission-support employees.
The SCSW student luncheon, from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. in the Building 240 TCS Conference Center, connects Argonne professionals with small groups of four to six students who have been selected by their schools for their interest in STEM. The luncheon is a unique forum where students can ask questions and employees can share their career experiences in a relaxed social setting. With nearly 300 students participating, the success of the luncheon depends critically on volunteers who generously share their time and engage these students. Please consider joining us for lunch.
To volunteer for the SCSW student luncheon, complete the SCSW luncheon volunteer form by Friday, April 13, 2018. This is a great chance to inspire young women to pursue STEM careers.
You can learn more about the conference on the SCSW webpage.
