QIS Working Group meeting
The Physical Sciences and Engineering Directorate (PSE) invites lab-wide participation in a weekly working group on Quantum Information Sciences (QIS). The first of the group’s weekly meetings will be held Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at 1 p.m. in Building 241, Room D172.
The goal of the QIS Working Group is to build a community of researchers who, through an exchange of ideas, will create a cross-disciplinary strategy to enhance Argonne’s impact in this important scientific area and to better position Argonne to compete successfully for funding opportunities.
Please direct questions to the QIS Working Group coordinator, Salman Habib (HEP).
Potential topics for discussion include:
- What do we need to do to accomplish specific PSE and institutional goals in QIS?
- LDRD and agency funding
- Establishing a QIS community at Argonne
- Internal and external partnerships and collaboration
