Voice your opinion on compensation, benefits and more; take the Total Rewards Survey
Survey extended to Friday, Oct. 26
By Julie Nuter, Chief Human Resource Officer
The laboratory cares about its employees and wants to see each of you thrive in your job. Laboratory leadership understands that the total rewards you receive for your work are critical to your success. “Total Rewards” are broadly defined as compensation, benefits and wellness, learning and development programs and work environment.
Human Resource Services will conduct a voluntary, comprehensive survey beginning Oct. 8 through Oct. 19 on the laboratory’s Total Rewards package. It’s been 10 years since we’ve conducted such a survey, so it’s important to check in with you to assess if needs and preferences have changed. As the demographics of our workforce change, so too should the mix of benefits and rewards we offer. With your input, we can retain our reputation for a strong, competitive benefit package and a work environment that attracts and retains top talent.
All benefit-eligible employees will receive the survey, which should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. The purpose of this survey is not to reduce or eliminate benefits, and it will not affect 2019 benefits. Survey results will inform long-term planning of our Total Rewards strategy.
Your participation is vital; responses from all organizations and demographics will ensure that the laboratory’s Total Rewards mix meets the diverse needs of our workforce.
Watch for an email invitation from Aon on Oct. 8 to take the survey. Aon is an independent firm that will administer the survey. Your responses are confidential. Only Aon will see individual responses. All responses will be aggregated, and no individual responses will be shared with the laboratory. The survey has been reviewed and vetted by Argonne Cyber Security and is safe.
All benefit-eligible employees are encouraged to participate in this survey. Please note that the terms and conditions of employment for bargaining unit members are subject to the collective bargaining process. Any questions about that process should be directed to your union representative or the Employee Relations Office in Human Resource Services.
