Volunteers needed for fall 2018 Lunch with a Researcher program
Educational Programs is hosting a small number of interns on-site this fall. Much like the summer, we would like to offer them our Lunch with a Researcher program. This program gives scientists and engineers a chance to speak directly to a small group of undergraduate interns about potential career paths, scientific topics and valuable tips learned along the way. The Manganese work space in the Building 213 Cafeteria will be reserved on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. for the lunchtime sessions.
Volunteer researchers may participate in one lunch session or more if they choose. Lunch is not included.
Our students have indicated interest in learning more from researchers in these areas: Environmental science, high energy physics, mathematics, computer science, supercomputing, cybersecurity, physics/X-ray science and nuclear engineering.
To volunteer for a lunch session with a group of undergraduate students, complete the volunteer form by noon on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018.
