Call for Advanced Computing Expedition LDRD proposals
Argonne’s Laboratory Directed Research and Development (LDRD) program drives innovation by supporting the development of transformative ideas that have the potential to lead to new, sponsor-funded research and development programs.
This call offers researchers the opportunity to seek FY19 funding under the LDRD Prime program in the Advanced Computing Focus area. We are interested in supporting a number of fast-track focused efforts to explore new computing technologies on Argonne-related problems. This Expedition will support an investigator to work intensively for up to six weeks to develop a quantum algorithm, a neuromorphic application, to explore the use of accelerator technology for deep learning, or work with our team on optimizing a code for the Aurora exascale system.
Argonne’s LDRD website describes the scope and provides submission instructions for proposals.
Proposals should be submitted by Feb 22, 2019, via the Advanced Computing Expedition’s CLS Expedition Proposal (CLS-1) form for submitting expedition concepts. Please do not submit these proposals through the MyLDRD website.
