APS Colloquium: ‘Nanomaterials for Practical Applications: Opportunities in Computing and the Internet of Things’
Supratik Guha, Division Director of Nanoscience & Technology, will present “Nanomaterials for Practical Applications: Opportunities in Computing and the Internet of Things,” Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 3 p.m. in the APS Bldg. 402 Auditorium.
Guha will speak on how, after more than two decades of nanomaterials research, we now have great control over their synthesis, properties and manipulation, and that a worthwhile goal for the next decade would be to use these materials for disruptive technologies and products for the public good. His talk will describe work and opportunities in a few areas of potential impact for nanomaterials: computing and the Internet of Things as applied to fields such as agriculture.
The monthly APS Colloquium series benefits the Advanced Photon Source and Argonne communities by bringing distinguished scientists in all disciplines to lecture on topics of general interest.
