CRI semifinals pitch competition
Chain Reaction Innovation (CRI) is holding the semifinal pitch competition for its third cohort on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Building 241, Room D172. This is the first of a two-part pitch competition with reviews from panels of industry experts, investors, scientists and engineers. Through an annual call, four to six teams are selected to join CRI for its two-year program for innovators focused on energy and science technologies. All employees are welcome to attend the event.
CRI is the Midwest’s first entrepreneurship program to embed innovators in a national laboratory and is part of the Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Programs (LEEP) from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). EERE created the Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Programs to provide an institutional home for innovative postdoctoral researchers to build their research into products and train to be entrepreneurs. The two-year program is funded by EERE’s Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO).
